Health tip: is your blood sugar high?

(HealthDay News) -- Hyperglycemia, the medical term for high blood sugar, is a prime cause of complications among people with diabetes.

You may have high blood sugar and not even know it. The American Diabetes Association offers this list of common symptoms:

  • Blood or urine tests that reveal high levels of glucose.
  • Feeling a frequent need to urinate.
  • Excessive thirst.
