Dr. Cizek joined the team at Cedar Run Eye Center in 1991. Before joining the Center in Traverse City, Michigan, she also served patients in the communities of Grand Rapids and Charlotte, Michigan.

Dr. Cizek is licensed as an Optometrist with the State of Michigan and is board certified with the American Academy of Optometry. Her licensure includes providing prescriptions for Diagnostic and Therapeutic Pharmaceutical agents.

She received Fellowship status in 1999 with the American Academy of Optometry.

A graduate of Indiana University, Dr. Cizek received a BS in Visual Science and achieved her Doctor of Optometry in 1986. Prior to attending Indiana University, Dr. Cizek attended Michigan State University (East Lansing).

She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and the Michigan Optometric Association.

The daughter of a mechanical engineer/small business owner and an elementary school teacher, Dr. Cizek became interested in the healthcare field after two of her older sisters graduated from medical school. She then decided to focus on vision care and transferred from Michigan State University to the Indiana School of Optometry.

Dr. Cizek enjoys working with patients of all ages and is proud to be part of the Cedar Run Eye Center team. Outside of the office, she and her husband Tom spend time with their two children and are actively involved with their many sports and school activities. In addition, she enjoys water and snow skiing, swimming, bicycling and being part of the Traverse City community.
